The Sunstone was mined by Karen and Steve Britt out at the Spectrum Sunstone Mine. This lovely copper schiller sunstone is warmed by striations of copper running through the hand faceted gemstone. It is set ‘open backed’ in its prong setting so the sun can shine all the way through. The cultured Teardrop Button Pearl is old stock from approx 25-30 years ago purchased at Tucson Gem Show. The hammed, hand made, Sterling Silver chain is 18 inches with an extension of 3/4 of an inch. The Sterling hook and loop clasp is adjustable to change the length of the necklace from almost 19” to approx 16”. The lapidary, metalsmithing, and chain making was all done by Karen Britt.

Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
