Our demi-show in honor of the upcoming Full Solar Eclipse event features art depicting the solar, lunar, and planetary phenomena. New work is arriving daily for this installment.
Aug. 21st Eclipse
Our once-in-a-lifetime occasion is preserved in all manner of art, from paint to jewelry. See what the artists are compelled to create and what will remind you of the spectacular event.
An artist that plays music, a musician that's an artist, a juicy jam room called the Ozone, a celestial event, that equals Total Earclipse. Guitar, Bass, Drums, Drone Instruments, Effects, amps, and who knows what for a live music audio escape into an experimental, psych-zone. We're all feeling it, why not hear it too. We're aiming to play during this period for portions of time given availability. Check here for updated details on exact amplitude.
Ozone Fine Art will likely be closed for the Eclipse. We will be enjoying the event with all of you and open before and after in a timely fashion. Check out the Total Earclipse Event for more information about what's going on to celebrate this fun and potentially freaky event.
We will be completing our 'Journeys' show and pulling down the Eclipse work to rehang the gallery for our 'Fit to Print' show (all about printmaking). Here's the good news for you; ALL the work for both shows will be coming and going for your viewing pleasure. You get three shows in one! All work that is in transit on and off the walls is 10-50% off. Time to get that piece you've been wanting.
Fit to Print is a long anticipated show featuring the art of Fine Art Printmaking. The show offers the opportunity to see many different kinds of printmaking techniques, learn about the applications, and experience the contemporary edge of its artistic expression. Feature artist Amy Royce has a brand new body of work in a sculptural vein that shines a light on that edge while Ron Zaneveld and Karen Britt show more of a traditional aspect. Michael Guerriero illuminates how realistic serigraphs can be and a variety of other entrants display the spectrum of potential.
Print and Integration
Amy Royce is shown here integrating encaustic with prints at a live demonstration in the Ozone. Her work for the Fit to Print show pushes the envelope on what she created before.
An annual event, the LIGHTshow is the 'lightest show in the darkest months'. The LIGHTshow features artwork that is actually lit, light captured in the portrayal of the subject, enLIGHTenment, or actually small format artwork (great for gift giving, just in time for that time of year).
This light by Jacob is a light with heavy industrial design including concrete shade and piping structure. Concepts like these are in the spotLIGHT of this show.
