Oregon Sunstone, Pearl Cloud, and Opal Rain

Oregon Sunstone, Pearl Cloud, and Opal Rain

$125.00

How perfectly Oregon; a Sunstone symbolizing rays of light beaming from a Pearl cloud shedding Opal and silver rain drops. A large, glowing white Baroque Pearl begins this beloved local narrative hovering over a precious Opal. The Australian Crystal Opal shines in brilliant green and blue with tones of gold flashing occasionally through the transparent body. This ‘rainbow’ is accompanied by two silver rain drops falling down the side of the sunbeams. A hand carved Oregon Sunstone emanates forth with Champagne tinted clarity. Fine Silver and Sterling bring this scenario together for your neck.

The Champagne Sunstone, from Spectrum Mine in Oregon, is left open backed in its Fine Silver setting to let the light shine through. The 7.5 carat Sunstone was hand carved by Karen Britt, you can see a similar stone carved and polished on our VIDEO page.

The Australian Crystal Opal (5mm) was bought, from the miner, between 25-30 years ago (and since hoarded until now). The Cultured Pearl is also old stock (between 25-30 years old) and is a magnificent large (15mm x 9mm), white baroque pearl. The stone settings are fine silver, the body and bail loops are Sterling Silver as well as the hook and loop closure. The pendant is hung on 3.5 mm black Greek leather cord but may be transferred to your own unique chain. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state, the opal is backed with black in the bezel but is not a doublet. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
