These copper boards were created by cutting the boards out, then carving the ‘stringer’ lines out to make the inlay. The inlay is Malachite, Turquoise, pacific beach sand, and 18k gold leaf. Sterling Silver fins were fabricated for the perfect details and they’re shaped with swallow tails. The length of each board is approx 29mm or a little over an inch and the total length from the earring hole is about 42mm or roughly an inch and a half. The earrings weigh in at about 2.9 grams so they are comfortably light (as a penny weighs around 2.5 for comparison). The elongate shapes are aesthetically pleasing on their own, as far as fashion accessories, the little fins on the back giving them away as surf boards is an added bonus!

This piece was fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.

We ship ASAP. Most of the time, we can get your package into the mail next day (and up to 3 business days). We use priority USPS and they’ve been consistent in delivery time (usually a day to a week travel time depending on where you are). As aforementioned, you’ll have a tracking number so you can anticipate the arrival.
