The prettiest pink schiller threads dive through this dainty 1 carat Sunstone. The stone is rose cut (flat bottom) and gently faceted on top to show off the schiller at different angles. It’s a clear Champagne stone when not catching the sun and is set open back to give it full illumination possibilities. Fine silver is stacked and carved around it, mimicking its shape in a flashing frame. A Sterling Silver, two-to-one size 8 band wraps this gem on your lucky finger.
The Sunstone is left open backed in its Fine Silver setting to let the light shine through. The Fine Silver is stacked and sculpted to create the topography around the stones. Sterling Silver 18 gauge is used for the one split to two ring band for durability and comfort. The stone was sourced in Oregon at the Spectrum Sunstone Mine, hand polished, and the setting fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
