The Opal is from Lightning Ridge, Australia and was purchased as ‘rough’. Karen Britt then hand polished the opal in a free form cabochon design. The opal is black, around an N2 on the body tone scale, and subdued in color around B1. The over all hue of the stone is midnight blue and the shy flash is untramarine blue and green in little patches. The cultured Pearl is from old stock purchased at the Tucson Gem Show around 25-30 years ago. The Fine Silver is stacked and sculpted to create the topography around the stone. Sterling Silver, 18 gauge, is used for the one-split-to-two, size 7.5 ring band for durability and comfort. The setting is fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.

We use priority USPS and they’ve been speedy in delivery time ahead of the holidays (usually 1 to 4 business days travel time depending on where you are).
