Events in the Ozone

In the Ozone, we love a good Demonstration, Musical Event, Art Reception, Wine Tasting, and many other good reasons to have a great time together. In addition, Newport and the Historic Bayfront are locations of calendar worthy events. 

Shortlist

  • Journeys Show currently runs through August 2017
  • Live Art in the Ozone; Jewelry design and Lapidary arts by Karen Britt live in the studio.
  • 'Total Eclipse of the Art'; a demi-show starting August 1st, inside the Journeys show, devoted to the Eclipse inspired works anticipating our total eclipse event.
  • 'Eclipse in the EarZone'; Live musical event TBA (either before, during or after the eclipse and potentially all of the above)
  • 'Total Eclipse of the Sun'; August 21st, 2017. The Ozone may be closed dependent upon traffic and other variables. Check here for updates.
  • 'Fit To Print'; Our show, years in the making, devoted to the *ART* of Fine Art Printmaking. Fresh work from featured artists Amy Royce, Michael Guerriero, Karen Britt, Judy Miller Johnson, Ron Zaneveld, Robert West, and more. Learn what makes a print 'fine art', about editions, the different ways to print, how to print, interactive art displays, and a variety of prints of all price-points to add to your collection. September through October 2017.
  • 'The Light Show' November through December 2017. The lightest show in the darkest months, we feature actual lit artwork, light sculptures, art about light, small or literally light work (great for gift-giving), and all other interpretations of the theme. 
  • 'ReNEW, ReCLAIM, ReMIND; January through Mid March 2018. We start the year off right with one of our most popular shows of the year based on upcycling, renewable resources, the environment, and found item arts.
